Strengthening Social Protection in Asia

UNESCAP is implementing a project on strengthening social protection in Asia and the Pacific. The focus of the project is to compile and analyze the experience of selected countries in the region in developing and implementing effective social protection policies and programs targeted at the poor and other vulnerable groups. The toolbox and other research and analysis carried out through this project wil be disseminated to key stakeholders and used as the basis for advocacy and training activities to strengthen the capacity of member States in developing, financing and implementing social protection programs in the region. To achieve the objectives, the study culls information from a desk review and a working group discussion.
