Process Evaluation on Shaping Demand and Practice for the Alive & Thrive Initiative
ISMS is working with IFPRI to conduct a study to address a variety of process evaluation questions related to the implementation of the Alive & Thrive social franchise model and mass media campaign. Conducted in 4 provinces in 2012, the study employs a mixed methods design that includes:
1) In-depth interviews with 12 management board members, 12 health staff, 12 village health workers, and 120 mothers and their families;
2) Quantitative surveys with 255 frontline health workers;
3) Facility assessment of 38 health facilities;
4) 163 observations of counseling; and 5) 163 client exit interviews.
