Year. 2011

For Save the Children Vietnam; Funded by: USAID/PEPFAR through Pact Vietnam

Project NAM was a comprehensive HIV prevention project serving young men and women aged 15-24 in vocational training schools and street-based settings (2006-2011). To evaluate Project NAM's fulfillment of its objectives and to evaluate the project's processes, ISMS conducted a cross-sectional survey of 617 street youth in Hai Phong and Ho Chi Minh City. Face-to-face interviews using a structured questionnaire were carried out by trained peer educators (PEs) and street educators (SEs) from Project NAM, called peer interviewers (PIs). In addition, in- depth interviews and focus group discussions were held with 20 street youth, PEs, SE, local partners and project staff.
